Weekly Happenings

EPGY
EPGY stands for Education Program for Gifted Youth and is implemented through the Stanford University Mathematics Program. It is also known around school as Stanford Math and we have been using the program for several years.
The students will begin completing EPGY at home as a part of the required Homefun. This will be due EVERY FRIDAY by 8:00 am. The students usernames and passwords will be sent home with them on Monday
  •  If you have computer problems at home that prevent your child from completing their EPGY assignment, they may come to our classroom before school at 7:30 (at breakfast and early care in the playroom) to get it done.

  • Students may also go the media room (Ms. Harris) and use an available computer before school.

Special thanks to Dr. Vasile Rus (Mara's dad) for coming in to share his expertise with the third graders.  Below are a couple of pictures from his visit.

Grandparents Day was a huge success! It was so lovely meet everyone! Special thanks go out to our phenomenal room mothers (Stacey Sheppard, Holly Kulp, and Misty Stamper) as well as all of the parents who were able to volunteer for everything. It was a huge success, and it would not have happened without all of you. I will be posting pictures of the event soon!

Picture Day
September 13th is School Picture Day.  Order forms and more information will be coming soon.

Trading Cards
(Pokemon included)
A grade level decision has been made that students will not be allowed to bring trading cards.  This has caused some problems with students throughout the grade level we and feel that this is the best solution.  Please do not allow them to bring them.  Thank you for your support.
