Parent Teacher Conferences Next Week!

Next week Campus School will begin holding Parent-Teacher Conferences. I look forward to seeing all of you next week.

Our first quarter has come to an end! Please join us Thursday for the Parent Coffee (7:30-8:00) and the Awards Assembly (8:15 in the Playroom). 

Extra, Extra Read All About It

Fourth graders made meaningful, real-world connections during our reading instruction this week.  They related the concept of main idea to the headlines of newspaper articles.  After viewing different examples of newspapers and magazines, they put on their journalists hats and created their very own newspaper articles using information from the text.  Check out the picture page to see some final products!

On the windy prairies of the Southwest, Reba Jo meets a horned toad who makes a deal with her. When Reba Jo does nothold up to her end of the bargain, the horned toad is offended and asks for a simple kiss. That kiss unlocks a magical spell and the ugly toad becomes a prince!

School Picture Day and Reading Plus

Thursday, September 12, 2013 is Campus School Picture Day;-)

The new Reading Plus is now up and running. It is the only Common Core aligned reading intervention that prepares students to engage with complex text by developing all three dimensions of successful readers: capacity, efficiency, and motivation. Developed in partnership with leading reading researchers, the personalized and dynamically adjusting program is proven to increase reading achievement for students in grades 3 and beyond.Your child's login and password are in this week's Friday folders.
