HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
- We will be going to the Cordova skate center for our end of the year party. There is a pink letter/permission form that went home May 1st. The cost is $15 and includes admission into the skate center, food (pizza) and snacks (chips, juice, etc.). We will be there from 9:00 until 2:30.
- I am working on getting pizza delivered for the fourth and fifth grade students from 11:30-12:30 this upcoming Wednesday. This is to celebrate their success with the Reading Plus Challenge. You do not need to do anything. :)
- Spring Fling will be held Friday, May 16th. Please look in your child's folder for the pre-paid order form.
We began our final class novel! Roald Dahl has written entertaining children's stories that contain morals and life lessons that even adults can appreciate. In James and the Giant Peach, he handles the themes of abandonment, abuse, and redemptive reward--with justice handed out appropriately to all concerned. We will view the movie after finishing the novel! The students are loving it!
